Engineer, Python Developer (CA/AL)

About the role

We are seeking a talented Python Developer to join our team at ST Engineering Aerospace Engines Pte Ltd. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for developing robust and efficient software solutions to support our critical aviation engineering operations. Based at our Airport Road East office, you will play a key role in driving innovation and shaping the future of our technology capabilities.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop scalable Python applications and tools to automate and streamline engineering workflows

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Write clean, well-documented code and implement best practices in software development

• Perform code reviews, debugging, and testing to ensure high quality and reliability of software deliverables

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Python technologies, frameworks, and industry trends

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software architecture and engineering practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Python development and software engineering

• Proficient in Python programming language, including its core libraries and frameworks

• Experience in working with web application frameworks like Django etc.

• Understanding of the concepts of Django MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern, and RESTful web services

• Relevant Knowledge of GUI frameworks like React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS according to project requirements

• Applied experience in using any SQL Databases such as SQLite, MSSQL, PostgreSQL etc.

• Hands-on experience in configuring Web Servers and Application Servers

• Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD, and containerisation tools

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively
