Job description

Primary Function:

  1. Strategize on maintenance, work instruction and methods to create plant equipment preventive maintenance procedures.
  2. Support in the planning of routine maintenance of production equipment.
  3. Analyze breakdowns, diagnose faults, and lead time critical equipment repairs. Implement preventive measures to improve machine reliability.
  4. Work with reliability engineers to improve equipment performance and extend equipment useful life cycle.
  5. Oversee and control maintenance costs. Manage budget for equipment upgrades and replacements.
  6. Train and mentor technicians in equipment operation concepts and maintenance techniques.
  7. Function as project development member to install/upgrade equipment. Schedule and obtain project material and manpower.
  8. Support plant EHS and quality initiatives and targets.
  9. Assist with developing budgets and long-range plans based on company growth and future maintenance needs.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the maintenance (corrective, preventive, predictive) of plant equipment, wet process and dryer, dry blending and packaging, Clean In Place (CIP) systems, warehouse in compliance with site safety and GMP procedures to ensure good uptime and good MTBF.
  2. Support the equipment qualification and validation such as walkdown, punch list commissioning, IQ/QQ/PQ for any new projects.
  3. Execution of work order and record job performance via MAXIMO system.
  4. Writing job aids and maintenance SOP, CCA and ER investigation reports.
  5. Manage and lead contractor, vendor and service providers to perform maintenance or project works.
  6. Maintenance budget for area of responsibilities.
  7. Lead and take part in continuous improvement efforts/projects.
  8. May act as a delegate to the Engineering Manager when required.
  9. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aerospace) or related disciplines.
  2. Minimum 2 years of relevant mechanical/maintenance experience in manufacturing plant, preferably within GMP manufacturing environment or chemical manufacturing.
  3. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Good team player and able to multi-task.
