We’re looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer in Singapore. The position will be based in our GES Site in Marsiling.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
Work hand-in-hand with Product Engineer, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing technical and engineering supports for sustaining product manufacturing as well as supporting NPI, in meeting products’ specification, customer requirements and organization goals and objectives.
The key responsibilities are as below:
- Monitor, maintain and improve assembly/test first pass yield
- Perform first level production line/equipment fallout verification to resolve line issues quickly without impacting production output and follow up until closure
- Work with Product Engineer to have effective RCCA and resolution to product quality issues
- Coordinate with cross-functional team to implement actions required to evaluate and qualify necessary manufacturing process, SW/FW, tester/equipment or product/component changes
- Provide training to line operators and technicians on assembly and test
- Keep shop floor MES up-to-date arising from changes
- Rectify malfunctioned equipment/tester
- Ensure preventive maintenance is executed
- Follow up on equipment calibration
- Identify and work on Continuous Improvement such as First Pass Yield improvement, cycle time reduction, digitalization, waste elimination, productivity improvement, process automation and etc
- Support VAVE activities
- Preparation of FPY and RCCA report
NPI:
- Assist to/execute Prototype builds, Pilot Build and Engineering build
- Create and maintain Work/Manufacturing/Process Instruction
- Establish and maintain PFMEA and Control Plan
- Perform DFX (DFM, DFA, DFT)
- Production line set up and qualification Production Line setup and equipment planning for new project launch, define manufacturing line layout, sourcing for tooling, fixtures and equipment and prepare CAPEX
- Perform equipment/tester set up and validation/buy off for commissioning
- New process development and qualification
- Perform assembly/test cycle time and touch time analysis
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2 years of working experience in the related field. Experience in EMS environment will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Jig & fixture development
- Experience in validation/verification/calibration
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis and CAPA with the use of Quality tools
- Familiar Quality tools and techniques (Control Charts, Pareto Charts, cause and effect, etc.)
- Familiar with ISO9001 and ISO13485 requirements. Knowledge in QMSR will be an added advantage.
- Familiar with BOM structuring, Change Management, Yield reporting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and systematic problem-solving methodology
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen
- Knowledge of mechanical measurements such as motion accuracy, force, temperature, vibrations, and pneumatics
- EE component and circuitry knowledge, EE test and measurement know-how in using various test equipment for troubleshooting EE issues (DMM, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer & etc)
- Knowledge of test execution software such as Labview, Python, TestStand, Visual Studio and etc is an added advantage
