Engine Shop Technician (Build, Strip and Balancing)

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform disassembly, balancing and assembly of turboprop engine module parts in accordance with Engine Manual.
• Ensure correct use of approved tools and equipment for MRO work.
• Prepare engine, modules, and accessories for shipment.
• Ensure that all overhaul and repair activities are carried out in accordance with engine manuals, approved technical data, regulatory requirements, and procedures.
• Read updates on maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
• Support other workshop duties during lean periods.
• Ensure that all work meets quality requirements as per respective engine manual.
• Be responsible for care and cleanliness of equipment and work station.
• Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Model behaviors consistent with good quality, health and safety, and environmental management.

What it takes:

• GCE “N” or “O” Level / Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma from a Technical discipline, Aerospace Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in engine workshop practices and MRO activities for gas turbine engine components.
• Ability to read and understand approved technical data in English.
• Basic understanding of relevant airworthiness and regulatory agency requirements.
• Basic use of hand and measurement tools.
