Assist fleet vessels in maintaining and diagnosing issues related to electrical, electronic, electro-hydraulic, electro-pneumatic, and automation systems.
Review and manage the fleet’s planned maintenance schedule for power generation, backup power sources, and fire detection systems, providing reports to the Technical Manager.
Guide onboard engineers in operating and maintaining electrical and automation systems efficiently.
Attend to vessel equipment failures, conduct fault diagnosis, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
Recommend shore assistance or spare parts procurement to the Technical Superintendent when onboard resolutions are not viable.
Requirements:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience as an Electrical Technical Officer (ETO) on seagoing vessels, compliant with STCW standard in Oil & Gas, Chemical Tankers, Offshore Support Vessels.
Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical, automation, and control systems, including HVAC.
Familiar with maritime industry regulations and compliance standards.
