Maintaining electrical safety standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting regular audits and inspections, and training personnel on electrical safety practices.

Adecco is partnering with a global leader in solutions for the automotive rubber and fluorine chemical industries. This company manufactures high-performance synthetic rubber and fluorinated specialty intermediates, with production facilities in Japan and Singapore. They are looking for an Electrical Operation Engineer who has experience in Chemical or Manufacturing environments. The Job

  1. Ensure Equipment Reliability and Usability: Review and plan electrical equipment replacement schedules, conduct root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns, recommend equipment modifications, and manage schedules for electrical-related tasks.
  2. Respond to Urgent Breakdowns: Handle immediate breakdown incidents efficiently.
  3. Optimize Energy Consumption: Review and develop electrical-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure energy efficiency.
  4. Ensure Compliance with Safety Regulations: Oversee plant compliance with electrical safety standards, manage inventory updates, and prepare risk assessments.
  5. Manage Maintenance and Cost Reduction: Supervise contractor work, negotiate proposals, review contractor reports, manage project costs, and identify cost reduction areas.
  6. Oversee Yearly Shutdowns: Responsible for yearly sub-station preventive maintenance and address all electrical troubleshooting.
  7. Deliver Projects on Time and Budget: Ensure all projects meet deadlines, budget constraints, and desired specifications, and conduct vendor service performance audits.
  8. Liaise with Technical Teams: Coordinate with the UMT HQ technical team for process improvement and resolving equipment issues.

The Talent

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an MNC Chemical Plant.
Strong knowledge of chemical processes and ESH regulations.
Proficient with computers and data analysis.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong planning abilities.
