Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer

Job Description:

1. Ensure E&I technical and performance meet the project specifications, budget, and stakeholders’ expectations.
2. Involved in technical reviews and clarifications with all stakeholders.
3. Ascertain all E&I engineering deliverables.
4. Responsible for all E&I change orders and meeting the delivery lead time and stakeholder expectations.
5. Able to read and implement the technical specifications to the project deliverables.
6. Manage all E&I vendors and review vendors’ quotations.
7. Conduct FAT/SAT and equipment troubleshooting.
8. Prepare instrument data sheets and instrument lists.
9. Coordination of E&I design with other engineering disciplines.
10. Involved in all E&I engineering designs, calculations, and preparing bills of materials.
11. Design all E&I panels based on national, international standards and/or project specifications.
12. Identify E&I equipment and components to procure.
13. Involved in construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
14. Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Requirements:

1. Min. Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Control and Instrumentation or related fields.
2. Min. 3 years’ experience in water and wastewater treatment projects.
3. Know-how of basic electrical starters and VFD design knowledge.
4. Know-how of electrical cable sizing, voltage drop, cable gland sizing, and cable schedule.
5. Know-how of overcurrent protection device sizing and selection.
6. Know-how of electrical equipment and instruments installation.
7. Good skills in E&I troubleshooting.
8. Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
9. General computer knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook.
10. Good team player. Can work with others harmoniously.
11. Willing to learn new activities.
12. Willing to travel overseas at short notice.
