Electrical Engineer (Subcon / Tunneling / Machinery / AWS+VB)

Job Description:

1. Estimate, plan, schedule, coordinate, and supervise the setup, installation, and maintenance of the following equipment:
   - Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM)
   - Slurry Treatment Plant (STP)
   - ECM, Air Supply System, and Batching Plant
   - Tunnel Ventilation and Communication Systems (RFID, Telephone, Fire Fighting, Gas Detector)
   - Locomotive, Chiller Plant, Gantry Crane, Dewatering System
   - Water Cooling Tower and 22KV Sub-station
2. Prepare and write Power ON documents for TBM and the 22KV Sub-station.
3. Plan the power distribution system for the bored tunnel and the entire site.
4. Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of TBM, electrical systems, locomotives, batching plant, cooling towers, and other critical tunnel facilities.
5. Estimate and order electrical equipment and spare parts as needed, ensuring specifications are met.
6. Prepare for the TBM's initial and main drives.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tunnel construction, particularly with tunnel boring machines (TBM) and underground project management.
3. Proficient in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of tunneling and construction equipment, including TBM, slurry treatment plants, ventilation systems, locomotives, and dewatering systems.
4. Familiarity with power distribution systems and the preparation of Power ON documentation for complex equipment (e.g., 22KV sub-stations).
5. Working knowledge of CAD and other relevant engineering software.
6. Proficient in general office software for project management, scheduling, and reporting.
7. Certified in health and safety standards related to construction and tunneling environments.
8. Understanding of regulatory requirements and safety practices for underground construction.
9. Strong leadership abilities with experience in coordinating diverse teams.
10. Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders, including LTA, QPS, QPD, subcontractors, and suppliers.
11. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for rapid response to technical issues.
12. Ability to estimate resources, prepare schedules, and manage timelines efficiently.
