Electrical Engineer (Semicon, Pasir Panjang)

Our client is one of the leaders in the semiconductor industry, and they are seeking an electrical engineer to join the team on a 12-month contract with the possibility to renew/convert. The electrical engineer will cover mainly semiconductor systems such as power distribution systems, PCBs, sensors, and control systems.

Location: Pasir Panjang

Salary up to $6000

Key Duties:

1. Electrical Design & Development
   Design and modify electrical/electronic assemblies, schematics, and layouts for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
   Develop detailed specifications for power distribution systems, PCBs, sensors, and control systems.
   Work on high-voltage, low-voltage, and embedded electronic systems for precision equipment.
2. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting
   Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and electronic issues in semiconductor processing equipment.
   Work on system failures, signal integrity, EMI/EMC issues, and thermal management challenges.
   Optimize circuit performance and reliability to enhance equipment efficiency and uptime.
3. Testing, Validation & Compliance
   Define, coordinate, and execute engineering tests to validate system performance under real-world conditions.
   Conduct failure mode analysis (FMEA) and root cause investigations to enhance system reliability.
   Ensure compliance with industry standards (SEMI, IEC, IEEE, UL, etc.) and company safety protocols.
4. Project Execution & Supplier Coordination
   Lead or support engineering projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, and process engineers).
   Work closely with key suppliers to source high-quality electrical components for semiconductor equipment.
   Drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements in electrical designs.
5. Documentation & Technical Specifications
   Generate and maintain engineering documentation, including electrical product specifications, BOMs, and test reports.
   Ensure design traceability and version control for regulatory and manufacturing purposes.
