Electrical Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team and support the design, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems on FPSO vessels.

Electrical Design & Engineering:

• Develop and review electrical system designs for FPSO topsides and hull systems.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, load lists, and electrical layouts in compliance with international standards (IEC, NEC, etc.).
• Perform power distribution system design for both high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems, including switchgear, transformers, generators, and MCCs.

System Integration & Installation:

• Ensure proper integration of electrical systems with other engineering disciplines (Instrumentation, Mechanical, Process).
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical equipment on FPSO vessels.
• Conduct cable sizing, routing, and protection studies.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure all electrical systems meet classification society rules (ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s) and safety regulations.
• Perform HAZOP/HAZID reviews and risk assessments for electrical systems in hazardous areas.
• Ensure compliance with ATEX/IECEx standards for electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Support operations and maintenance teams by providing technical guidance on troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Assist with fault-finding, root cause analysis, and recommending solutions for electrical failures.

Project Collaboration:

• Work closely with Project Managers, Vendors, and Clients to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Review vendor documentation and ensure equipment specifications meet project requirements.
