Our client, a well-known Japanese company is currently looking for a position of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer.
Responsible for planning, managing, and executing assigned maintenance and engineering work activities in a safe, effective, and efficient manner in the plant. You will work in a team-oriented environment and lead a team that accelerates operational efficiency.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and plan for daily/ad-hoc/shut-down maintenance activities to be executed safely and efficiently within schedule and allocated budget.
Oversee a team of seniors/superintendents in providing coaching and mentoring to them.
Evaluate all maintenance planning and work execution documents (e.g., Long Term Maintenance Plan, Critical Equipment List, etc.).
Draft and revise new/current maintenance work procedures and work instructions.
Collaborate with senior/superintendent to analyze data of plants’ critical equipment from predictive to preventive maintenance activities to make recommendations and/or countermeasures, to upkeep proper documentation of maintenance and improvement works, to fulfill ISO requirements by establishing procedures and calibration forms, and training of personnel.
Support the Senior/Superintendent to plan, execute, and coordinate the Shut Down Maintenance (SDM) work in assigned plants, including statutory inspection of equipment.
Provide prompt and effective technical support to assigned plants, including the production, technical, and coordination sections, as well as to external vendors.
Lead and conduct troubleshooting of complex problems to work with relevant stakeholders to resolve systematically and identify effective countermeasures.
Propose improvement ideas and lead team initiatives for management consideration as well as drive the implementation of improvement initiatives and projects.
Execute assigned engineering and minor modification works, focusing on electrical & instrumentation aspects, in assigned plants.
Conduct training for internal stakeholders and in-house contractors on specific technical topics for presentations and toolbox briefings.
Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders for maintenance work activities and coordination of continuous improvement projects.
Requirements:
The candidate should possess at least a Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline, preferably with at least 3 years of relevant experience in Petrochemical/Pharmaceutical industries.
Sound technical knowledge of the functionality of common chemical processing plant electrical equipment, process instruments, and process control and PLC and packaging systems (e.g., AC motors, analysers, control valves, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, etc.).
Good skills in electric equipment & instrument troubleshooting as well as understanding of the process plant maintenance work execution process.
Ability to work independently and lead a team, self-initiative, good problem-solving skills, meticulous, and able to cope with executing multiple tasks within a planned schedule.
