Responsibilities
Carry out maintenance, repair, and overhaul work on vehicles (Opel, EV & commercial vehicles), ensuring minimum turnover time for scheduled repairs and inspections to meet workshop’s service standards and according to job order.
Ensure high standard of workmanship and avoid any comeback jobs.
Notify team leader of unusual repair problems which will require major repair and replacement parts for recommendation.
Adhere to defined guidelines regarding safety, orderliness, and tidiness in the workshop, including proper handling of tools and equipment.
Requisition and pick up vehicles and equipment parts from the store to complete work assignments.
Ensure proper handling of customer vehicles and good housekeeping of the work area.
Practice safe and proper engineering practices in accordance with manufacturer or workshop instructions and procedures.
Complete work orders for each vehicle and unit serviced, listing items replaced, material used, instructions, and procedures.
Perform other related duties as required by team leader or superiors.
Assist team leader in controlling unnecessary usage/wastage of workshop materials and non-chargeable repairs.
Maintain and take ownership of individual tradesman tools and workshop tools.
Provide technical guidance to technicians on more complex repair work.
Cooperate with Team Leaders or any other supervisor to ensure customer requirements are met.
Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
NTC 2 or NITEC 2 in Automotive Technology / Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
2-3 years experience in automotive electrical repair.
