Responsibilities:
- Identifies risk and hazard associated with the electrical works and prepares related risk assessment and work method statement.
- Jobs briefing and toolbox talk to workforce prior to starting the work activities.
- Ensures timekeeping is followed by subcontractor workers.
- Ensures availability of required engineering drawings, resources, and consumables to carry out the works.
- Coordinates with other disciplines such as QAQC, Material, and Painting department according to requirements during the project phase.
- Coordinates closely all EIT work activities between Seatrium (Structural, Piping, Mechanical, Lifting, Architecture, Blast & Paint, HVAC, Maintenance, Commissioning, Weighing, Sea Fastening, Load Out) and Subcontractors.
- Monitors the subcontractor for daily progress and updates.
- Enforces safe work practices at the job site and monitors to ensure workers work in a safe manner and that all EIT job sites are in good and safe condition.
- Participates in Line Walk and prepares punch list prior to completing EIT activity.
- Ensures punch list liquidation and action by subcontractor on required punch points on a priority basis.
- Responsible for stopping any violation by the subcontractors against the HSE or quality requirements.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Electrical, or related disciplines.
- At least 10 years of working experience in construction (Electrical & Instrumentation) in marine.
- Experience with design-build and construction management at risk delivery methods.
- Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office products and project management software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera Project Planner Version 6.0 or higher, etc.).
- Good working knowledge of all phases of construction including work commonly done by the various construction disciplines.
- Good knowledge and experience in developing and managing a progress reporting methodology for a complicated design effort.
- Ability to understand a demanding, technical, and complicated construction program.
