Qualifications/Experience:

1. Candidates MUST possess at least a Diploma in Early Childhood and Education - Teaching (DECCE-T), ACEY, or L1 for lower classes.
2. At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
3. Those with a minimum Degree in ECCE and at least 8 years’ experience in Curriculum Planning may be considered for the Curriculum Specialist position.
4. Required Skill(s): Microsoft Office.
5. Applicants WITHOUT Early Childhood certificate need not apply.

Job Descriptions:

1. Plan the programme for the class according to the centre's pedagogy.
2. Review teaching and learning plans to meet the diverse needs of children.
3. Plan observation of children and prepare a portfolio as part of summative assessment.
4. Customise all aspects of classroom management strategies focusing on positive guidance, valuing children's rights and diversity.
5. Guide assistant teachers in engaging children meaningfully in accordance with the centre's pedagogy.
6. Provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children to think, wonder, and question.
7. Design quality learning environments with developmentally appropriate learning materials and resources.
8. Evaluate documentation of children's learning and development to inform planning and teaching better.
9. Identify potential teaching and learning methods, tools, and assistive technology based on emerging trends in the sector.
10. Identify opportunities to collaborate with families to ensure continuity of care and learning between the home and the Centre.
11. Develop outreach activities to promote Centre programmes and services.
