Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing transportation, inventory, warehousing, and distribution to ensure smooth and cost-effective logistics operations. The Logistics Manager will also be responsible for team leadership, vendor management, compliance with regulations, and process optimization to enhance overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee Supply Chain Operations – Manage end-to-end logistics, including procurement, transportation, storage, and distribution.
  2. Inventory and Warehouse Management – Maintain accurate stock levels, implement inventory control measures, and optimize warehouse processes.
  3. Transport and Distribution Coordination – Plan and manage delivery schedules, optimize transport routes, and ensure on-time delivery.
  4. Cost Management and Efficiency Optimization – Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  5. Vendor and Supplier Management – Develop relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely procurement of goods.
  6. Compliance and Safety – Ensure all logistics activities comply with local and international laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  7. Team Leadership – Supervise logistics staff, assign tasks, provide training, and ensure high performance.
  8. Customer Service & Issue Resolution – Address customer inquiries, resolve shipping or delivery issues, and maintain high service levels.
  9. Data Analysis & Reporting – Monitor logistics KPIs, generate reports, and use data-driven insights to improve operations.
  10. Technology Utilization – Implement and manage logistics software and tracking systems for better inventory and shipment management.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role in logistics is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation processes.
  • Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS, or TMS systems).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize logistics operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for supplier and vendor coordination.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations and safety standards in logistics operations.
