A Banking Client Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of onboarding new clients to the bank, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience. This role involves verifying and collecting necessary documentation, performing KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Collect, verify, and validate KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) information.
2. Coordinate with various internal teams (e.g., compliance, risk, legal) to ensure smooth and efficient onboarding.
3. Ensure accurate completion of account opening forms, legal agreements, and supporting documentation.
4. Input client data into the bank's systems and ensure the data is accurate and up-to-date.
5. Ensure all compliance procedures, including AML and KYC checks, are fully adhered to.
6. Perform due diligence checks and risk assessments to identify potential issues.
7. Flag and escalate any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate team for resolution.
8. Act as the main point of contact for new clients during the onboarding process.
9. Provide clients with clear communication about the onboarding steps and set expectations for timelines.
10. Address any questions or concerns clients may have during the onboarding process.
11. Work closely with sales and relationship management teams to ensure a seamless transition from account opening to active banking relationships.

1. A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
2. Previous experience in client onboarding, banking operations, or customer service.
3. Experience in compliance, KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), or risk management is a plus.
4. Familiarity with banking products and services.
5. Proficient in speaking Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Melayu to liaise with Indonesian-speaking and Malaysian-speaking clients.
