QUANTITY SURVEYOR

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at SENG & KENG CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial viability and success of our construction projects. Based in the Jurong Gateway West Region, this is a full-time position that will involve working closely with our project management and estimating teams.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
• Negotiating and managing subcontractor and supplier contracts
• Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure they align with budgets
• Providing regular cost reports and forecasts to project managers and stakeholders
• Assisting with the preparation of tenders and bids
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Ensuring compliance with relevant construction industry regulations and standards

What we're looking for

• Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and MS Office applications
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Knowledge of construction industry regulations, standards, and best practices
