About Our Client

Our client is a Family Office that is seeking an Investment Operations Associate to join their growing team to support the day-to-day management of investment operations and contribute to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their investment portfolio.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Head of Family Office, your key responsibilities would include:

1. Oversee the settlement process for trades, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with custodians and brokers to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely trade settlement.
2. Maintain and update investment portfolios, ensuring the accuracy of position data, transaction history, and other investment-related information.
3. Monitor account balances and provide reconciliations of positions and cash flows.
4. Assist in the preparation of performance reports for the family office's investments.
5. Support in calculating and analyzing investment returns, asset allocation, and other key metrics to monitor portfolio performance.
6. Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations between custodian reports, internal records, and external managers.
7. Identify and resolve discrepancies in investment positions, cash balances, and performance.
8. Serve as a liaison between external service providers (e.g., custodians, banks, asset managers) and internal stakeholders. Ensure that queries from investment managers, tax advisors, and other third parties are handled efficiently.
9. Support compliance teams in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, family office investment policies, and internal controls. Assist with audits and other regulatory reporting as required.

The Successful Applicant

To succeed in this role, you should ideally possess the following:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or relevant disciplines.
2. At least 3 years of Investment operations experience in asset/fund management companies, preferably within a family office.
3. Strong understanding of financial markets, portfolio management, investment strategies, and accounting principles.
4. Familiarity with regulatory requirements for investment management and reporting.
5. Proactive team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
