In actuarial services at PwC, you will be responsible for analysing and managing financial risks for clients through statistical modelling and data analysis. Your work will generate valuable insights and recommendations to help businesses make informed decisions and mitigate potential risks.

A career within Actuarial Services will provide you with the opportunity to contribute insurance advice and consulting services to clients such as insurers, reinsurers, regulators, and third-party administrators. You will provide advice covering solvency, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial modelling, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes. How will you value-add?

  1. Provide Life Insurance actuarial advisory service
  2. Seasonal audit support projects as necessary
  3. Deliver professional advice on life insurance projects
  4. Play a key role in preparing/presenting presentations, proposals, and actuarial reports
  5. Work in a dynamic team of 20+ actuarial professionals in Singapore and 200+ across Asia.

About you

  1. 7+ years’ actuarial experience in Life insurance with an insurance firm, consulting firm or financial services organization
  2. Depth of experience in core Actuarial areas in Life Insurance such as Reserving, ERM, Valuation Experience, Capital Modelling, Reinsurance, Regulatory Reporting (ORSA, FCR, ICAAP, IFRS17, RBC)
  3. Qualified actuary, or good progress in attaining an internationally recognized actuarial qualification
  4. Excellent MS Office knowledge
  5. Familiarity with one or more actuarial modelling software is desirable but not essential
  6. Diligent self-starter, ability to work with ambiguity and to work independently
  7. Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with fluency in spoken and written English
  8. Ability to foster a positive working environment by building relationships with team members and clients
  9. Proven ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities.
