Merchandise Planner

As a Merchandise Planner, you will play a key role in range planning, forecasting, buying, and monitoring the performance of sales, inventory, and markdowns. We welcome people who have a strong interest in fashion and strong analytical skills to join the team.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Partner with franchise partners on determining seasonal OTB and alignment with financial targets.
2. Forecast order quantity for the assigned category.
3. Undertake tactical actions to hit KPIs which include sales target, sell-through, and achieve optimal inventory level closing stocks.
4. Support execution of pre-season activities which include launch planning, allocation plan, pricing for new season, and range planning.
5. Curate and manage product assortment and strategically optimize performance throughout the product life cycle.
6. Support execution of in-season activities which include repeat orders, markdowns, and consolidation.
7. Build and maintain productive relationships within the team, cross-functional teams, and franchise partners.
8. Understand country/partner level nuances and competitive landscape to optimize business performance.
9. Participate in departmental projects to improve the I.T. system or productivity of the department and company.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, Retail Management, Statistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or Supply Chain.
2. At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred. Candidates without prior experience would be considered.
3. General knowledge of Merchandising, Buying process, and Product knowledge.
4. Excellent computing skills, proficient in MS Excel.
5. Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organization skills to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
6. Positive work attitude and able to work under pressure.
7. Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
8. Enjoy interacting with people of diverse cultures.
9. Bilingual, proactive, and with strong analytical skills.
10. Keen eye for details with an aptitude for numbers.
11. Strong presentation and report-writing skills.
12. Keen sense of fashion and a passion for the fashion industry.
13. Proficiency in SAP and Qlikview will be an advantage.
