Microbiologist (Pharmaceutical MNC, Office hours 5 days, Biomedical Sciences)

Job Scope

1. Utilize aseptic technique during sample preparation and microbiological/chemical analyses
2. Prepare test solution and reagents
3. Proper labeling, handling, storage, use, and disposal of solutions, biohazard and hazardous waste, and microbiological cultures
4. Perform serial dilutions and enumerate target microorganisms according to standard operating procedures
5. Detection of pathogens that may cause foodborne illness using DNA and Protein-based methods
6. Preparation and sterilization of culture media
7. Extraction of desired components from samples using standard chemical procedures such as distillation, solvent extraction and acid digestion
8. Analysis of chemical composition using standard laboratory equipment
9. Maintenance and verification of general laboratory equipment
10. Documenting and recording accurate data using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
11. Managing time and tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent quality of work

Requirements

1. Min Bachelor Degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology or equivalent, preferably with 3-4 years of experience in cGMP Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical or related manufacturing environment and/or related laboratory experience.
2. Min Diploma in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology with minimal 8 years of related cGMP laboratory experience.
3. Experience in conducting microbiological study, investigation and cost saving projects etc.
4. Preferably experience in Lean or Six Sigma tools.
