Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in Large Language Model (LLM) training and architecture. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, and be well-versed in the development and deployment of Specialized Language Models (SLM) and Multimodal Models (MML). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our cutting-edge language technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. LLM Development:
   Design, develop, and optimize Large Language Models tailored to specific use cases.
   Implement state-of-the-art techniques for training and fine-tuning language models.
   Stay abreast of the latest advancements in NLP and incorporate relevant innovations into model development.
   
2. SLM and MML Integration:
   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Specialized Language Models into various applications and domains.
   Extend expertise to incorporate Multimodal Models for tasks involving text, images, and other modalities.
   
3. Model Evaluation and Optimization:
   Perform thorough evaluation of language models, addressing issues related to performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
   Optimize models for deployment in resource-constrained environments, ensuring scalability and real-time processing capabilities.
   
4. Research and Innovation:
   Engage in continuous research to enhance language model capabilities.
   Explore and experiment with emerging techniques and architectures to push the boundaries of language understanding.
   
5. Collaboration and Communication:
   Work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts.
   Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
   

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Exposure to transfer learning techniques for language models.
• Hands-on experience with SLM (Specialized Language Models) and MML (Multimodal Models).
• Knowledge of domain-specific applications such as healthcare, finance, or legal for customizing language models.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.

• Familiarity with Specialized Language Models and Multimodal Models.
• Excellent understanding of natural language processing and machine learning algorithms.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and distributed computing for large-scale model training.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
