AS400 Developer

Responsibilities

• Program design, development, and unit testing
• Provide support for SIT, UAT, and MR
• Prepare and manage implementation and provide post-implementation support
• Ensure project documentation is done in accordance with Bank SDM standards
• Ensure assigned deliveries are timely and of good quality
• Escalate issues that impact deliverables assigned on a timely basis and propose workarounds/resolutions

Job Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar domain. Related professional/technical qualification will be advantageous although not mandatory
• More than 3 years of development experience, preferably in a financial institution
• Technical/platform knowledge in the Collection domain (e.g., collection system CACS) will be advantageous
• Good knowledge of COBOL with a sufficient number of written batch and online programs
• Good working knowledge of AS400 and OS400
• Working knowledge of RPG and Java languages
• Working knowledge with Linux servers
• Working knowledge of CICS and Red Hat
• Working knowledge of WebSphere, MQ, and IBM HTTPS
• Working knowledge with change management and job scheduling tools
• Build and maintain a good relationship within the team and across all departments within the organization
• Ability to communicate effectively within the team
