About this role

We're looking for a passionate and effective Insights and Analytics individual who lives and breathes data, is sensitive to it, appreciates it and importantly, understands how to analyse and use it. This person is able to transform data points into easily digestible visuals and possesses storytelling capabilities that connect the analysis and insights into a clear strategy that delivers to the brand’s objectives and generates impactable business results.

The Insights and Analytics Director will work in tandem with market and account leads to identify gaps and opportunities, develop research solutions, analysis and measurement frameworks that map across both marketing (communications), PR and sales objectives. You will be responsible for internal data integrity and external informed intelligence to support campaign activity across channels.

You will guide internal teams and clients in making data-informed decisions on brand positioning, communications strategy, crisis pre-emptive and management measures, customer sentiments, brand reputation etc. Some solutions you put forth may include market research and analytics, persona development, audience segmentation, marketing mix modelling, price modelling, social analytics, dashboard development or leading integrated data initiatives across various marketing channels.

Using tools such as, but not limited to Cision, Brandwatch, Meltwater, Penta, Locowise, Google Analytics 4, as well as consumer research e.g. focus groups, you will marry data to produce actionable insights to help brands develop data backed communications and marketing strategies that are effective, efficient and accountable.

Purpose of the role

The overall purpose of the role is to support the growth of our Insights and Analytics offering across APAC and the global network, with a sharp focus on research-based and data-driven strategic consultancy. This role will mentor and nurture the existing team of research and media analysts who have been driving implementation initiatives in the region. This includes supporting new business efforts, nurturing existing clients, and aiding in the development of best-in-class Analytics programs for our clients.

A key component of this role is the ability to effectively identify opportunities for business intelligence, data-driven marketing and sales offering together with the broader Performance marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement

  • Work with market, account leads, and the Performance Mmarketing team to develop measurement strategies toand define key performance metrics for clients and prospects based on business objectives, and the customer journey.
  • Establish strategic relationship with key clients, providing insight across all analytical aspects of the marketing and communications spectrum.
  • Act as an extension of lead account strategist(s), working to map back to cohesive program KPIs across workstreams.
  • Ensure excellent client communication at all levels; defining KPIs, deadlines and service agreements

Service / Offering Development

  • Develop new insights solutions or find work arounds on limited data points or quality challenges to ensure we continue improving the quality of our work and value add to our clients’ business growth.
  • Develop strong relationships with research, data partners to ensure we are on the forefront of latest features, trends and trial opportunities.
  • Design and develop dashboard reporting capabilities for ease of data visualisation, analysis and reporting across various objectives e.g. media/ social monitoring, crisis alerts

New Business

  • Identify and secure upsell/cross sell opportunities with existing clients, plus client and services cascade opportunities across the network.
  • Support and/ or lead TEAM LEWIS new business efforts when necessary, in particular where data and insights play a key part of the requirement.
  • Lead credentials and pitches for business analytics and insights offering, developing strategic insight, messaging and creative concepts.
  • Network to cultivate relationships with regional and global senior client decision makers

Team Working & Leadership

  • Thrive in a team working environment when leading a team of research and media analysts; nurturing them to deepen their analytics and technical expertise and developing new growth paths.
  • Guide team members to maximize usage of data tools and share research best practices and findings, including customer insight, benchmarking, and industry update
  • Excel at leading bright, creative and ambitious people; a collaborative team worker who is able to instil accountability and empower people to succeed
  • Ability to problem solve, project manage and multi-task. Will take charge of a situation and act as leader to ensure completion of deliverables to a timely and high-standard

About you

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong, holistic expertise in insights & analytics, including:
  • Ability to drive actionable insights by integrating, segmenting and analysing data
  • Ability to create a measurement strategy and output that clients (including c-level) will find meaningful and valuable
  • Ability in data storytelling and visualisation, including the identification/communication of actionable insights that will inform marketing/communications programs
  • Proficient in accessing and transforming data into insights
  • Ability to build strategic brand positioning and behavioural change campaigns
  • Can conduct advanced media and social listening & analysis, including consultancy on listening strategy
  • Familiarity with media, social listening and brand reputation tools e.g. Brandwatch, Cision, Locowise, Meltwater, Penta
  • High level of business acumen, including successful commercial management
  • Strong understanding of integrated communications; experience integrating PR with digital marketing, content and broader marketing activities
  • Proven track record of consistently making good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience and judgment
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends and potential pitfalls
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker who enjoys counselling clients and devising and running integrated campaigns
  • Plus to have experience in
  • Integration with primary research, SEO, digital analytics and multi-country campaigns
  • Leading a small team of analysts across markets
  • Ability to communicate in both business and technical terms
  • Ability to communicate in Chinese language.
  • You are likely to have at least 8 - 10 years of relevant work experience
