Meranti Power Pte Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is continuing to recruit additional new staff to manage and operate the new power generation stations on Jurong Island. We are inviting applicants for the position of Senior Cybersecurity Specialist who shall report to the Chief Cybersecurity. The scope and requirements are as follows:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Cybersecurity Specialist with 4-5 years of experience to manage vulnerability management, cybersecurity exercises, governance/risk/compliance (GRC), security monitoring and analysis, and incident response. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding our systems by identifying and mitigating threats, managing security incidents, and ensuring the continual enhancement of our security infrastructure.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage security incident responses, including investigations and remediation actions.
- Support incident response efforts and handle additional assigned tasks.
- Oversee security audits and conduct gap analysis.
- Manage and review IT & OT projects, including solutions and vendor performance.
- Manage vendors and contractors.
- Possess strong expertise in Network Security (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Switches, Routers, VPN) and Servers (Physical/Virtual).
- Oversee the Incident Response Plan (IRP), Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), Business Continuity Plan (BCP), and Cyber Crisis Plan (CCP).
- Provide independent IT and cyber risk management guidance to business, technical, and operations teams for secure technology implementations.
- Recommend enhancements to MP’s cybersecurity posture.
- Partner with risk owners to proactively manage risks and reduce the impact of incidents, breaches, or non-compliance.
- Track and oversee the patch management process.
- Ensure Technology conducts risk assessments and implements a secure System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity and IT risk management policies, standards, third-party vendor management, and system criticality frameworks to ensure effective IT risk compliance and cyber defense.
- Identify and assess technology risks in projects, ensuring business/technology units implement effective controls to mitigate risks from change requests, new initiatives, and processes.
- Identify and assess emerging risks, working with stakeholders to devise effective mitigating controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity.
- Able to perform 24/7 standby.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, results focused and willing to work under tight timelines with different stakeholders
- Ability to write good reports and prepare presentation materials.
- Able to work independently as well as in team settings.
- Certified GCIH & CISSP (Optional).
- Willing to work in Jurong Island. (Morning transportation pick-up points available at different parts of Singapore.)
