Research Assistant (ImpactFrial Project) – 1-Year Contract

We are seeking a dedicated Research Assistant (RA) for the ImpactFrial Project. The working location will be confirmed later, but applicants should be comfortable traveling to clinics in the western region.

Key Responsibilities:

The RA will work closely with the Principal Investigator, study team members, and Family Medicine Development team to ensure the successful and timely completion of the research. The role involves:

• Assisting the PI with ethics applications and amendments
• Patient recruitment, informed consent, and data collection
• Conducting focus group interviews, if required
• Managing research data, including data entry, cleaning, and ensuring ethics/legal compliance
• Processing patient reimbursements, where necessary
• Supporting the PI in preparing study-related presentations and materials
• Providing administrative and secretarial support, including organizing meetings with the research team and collaborators
• Performing other research-related duties as assigned by the PI
• Maintaining high standards of professional conduct and record-keeping in accordance with policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Nursing, or a related field (experience in a healthcare setting preferred)
• Nurses, with or without prior research experience, are welcome to apply
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work compassionately with geriatric participants
• Prior experience in research or working with elderly populations is a plus
• Strong administrative and project management skills
• Willingness to travel between study sites
