Financial Site Controller

ACCOUNTABILITY

The Financial Site Controller is accountable to the Sr Finance Director for the efficient functioning of financial accounting, cost accounting, cash flows, budgeting, and financial internal controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage general accounting activities and month-end close including but not limited to GST (Goods and Service Tax), Statutory Audits, Annual Audit, Intercompany accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Lead the finance team on all financial processes for financial reporting and analysis.
3. Responsible for the Budget and forecast updates in partnership with site leadership.
4. Be the main financial point of contact at the site for management and other finance functions.
5. Lead monthly financial reviews with finance and site leadership.
6. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a prudent internal control environment.
7. Maintain costing and be responsible for annual cost rolls and applicable analysis.

AUTHORITY:

1. Approve financial documentation required in the financial reporting.
2. Recommend financial reporting policies and improvements on costs and internal controls.
3. Authorize payment and purchasing in the absence of other authorizers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Degree or Diploma in Finance / ACCA discipline and 7 years of experience in Accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
