Education Consultant (C’ignature)

The Education Consultant undertakes sales and marketing responsibilities in the Enterprise Team.

He/She reports to the Head of Enterprise and works closely with the Innovation Team and Productivity teams from both Singapore and overseas (support staff) to ensure revenue target achievement.

The Education Consultant will be assigned an overseas sales support staff (Overseas Assistant Education Consultant) to assist him/her for proposal/pitch preparations and will be responsible for the overseas sales support staff’s performance. He/She also works with the team of overseas telemarketers who coordinate sales meetings.

Responsibilities

  1. Sales and Marketing
  • Perform all sales activities to both new and existing clientele
  • Arrange appointments with teachers, Heads of Departments, HR Managers, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular 'cold' calling
  • Make presentations to prospective clients in the education and training sector
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients
  • Manage budgets for trainer, course materials, transport, miscellaneous
  • Keep detailed records of all contacts
  • Reach, and if possible, exceed, annual sales targets
  • Win new customers, as well as developing long-term relationships with existing ones
  • Plan work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables with the sales team and discuss future targets with the sales director
  • Regularly attend company meetings, trainings and briefings
  • Keep up to date with the latest training programmes in the market, and interpret, present and discuss this intelligence during scheduled meetings
  • Analyse sales data to improve results and make sure resources are effectively allocated
  • Monitor competitor activity and competitors' products
  • Keep up to date with new developments in policies and industry landscape, anticipate potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapt strategy accordingly
  • Project Management
    • Plan, execute and project-manage training programmes effectively
    • Coordinate with programme directors/managers for manpower, logistical as well as administrative needs for all programmes represented
    • Communicate expectation of clients to programme directors/managers and trainers
    • Assist clients with administrative support for project delivery
    • Conduct post programme/event reviews
  • Inter-Department Coordination
    • Coordinate project-related activities within the Productivity, Innovation and Enterprise Departments (within Singapore and Overseas) to ensure prompt and accurate communications and delivery of tasks.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Have a bachelor’s degree

    • Identify market trends and market research for business development, product development and marketing.
    • Participate in exhibitions and events
    • Manage client relations and student relations
