Job Description
The SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI) is an enabling platform for global health activities across the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC). The Institute aims to address current and emerging health challenges across ASEAN member states and in other Asian countries. Working in collaboration with partners, the Institute seeks to tackle prevalent health challenges, strengthen health systems and better insulate countries from pandemics and disease threats.
SDGHI is organised around five thematic core areas – Policy, Research, Education, Clinical Skills and Innovation – across which programmes and platforms are designed to meet the specific needs of the global health community in the region.
We are currently recruiting an Education Associate I to provide support to the Education core as it continues to ramp up efforts in the global health education space both in Singapore and regionally. The responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
- Support the coordination and administration of graduate-level courses offered through the Education core, including development of syllabi, selection of learning materials, development of teaching materials, maintenance of learning management system, and communication with lecturers
- Collaborate in the development of learning experiences for learners across the AMC, including Global Health webinars and seminars, targeted educational offerings for specific groups of learners (e.g. students, medical residents, specialists, etc.)
- Provide logistical and some administrative support for educational programmes including coordinating application calls, interview processes, and marketing programmes to various audiences
- Maintain communications and engagement with key stakeholders, educators, and learners of Global Health within the AMC and with regional partners
- Conduct regular evaluation of programmes and courses, analysing programme effectiveness and impact as well as implementing relevant improvements where needed
- Perform other duties related to SDGHI or the Education core as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Global Health, Education, or other related disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of knowledge, skills, expertise and experience.
- Competent in developing and constructing learning materials for tertiary education, adult learning, and public and youth engagement, as well as in facilitating learning activities and discussions and executing different types of educational experiences.
- Possess strong writing and critical thinking skills, as well as good communication and presentation skills.
- Have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills which are vital for engagement with partners, collaborators, funders, and other external stakeholders.
- A team player who is able to prioritise, multi-task and work collaboratively in a diverse workforce.
- A motivated, self-starter who is resourceful and independent.
