Electrical Engineer

This position fulfils an important role in the Department and having the potential to develop to a senior role for the day to day well being maintenance, repair and project support of the electrical and electronics systems for Prima Group of Companies.

The candidate is expected to be keen on working in food industry environment with initiative and self motivation for design, improvement and maintenance of electrical installations to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implementing electrical installations and engineering works to sustain businesses
• Improving production electrical systems with reasonable engineering solutions
• Executing preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting and providing technical support on all electrical and electronics systems and equipment including existing, new, extension and A&A works
• Coordinating with the end-users to handle fault complaints and production line developing requests
• Ensuring fire prevention and the safety of personnel and equipment by mitigating electrical hazards and complying with all safety regulations
• Implementing Electrical projects to improve energy efficiency for all systems and equipments
• Handling projects which include the planning, design, coordination, installation and commissioning according to the required schedule, budget and quality
• Submit evaluation reports and liaise with authorities, contractors and suppliers for quotations and site checking
• Perform any other assignments as may be delegated by the Management from time to time

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in F&B or Manufacturing industries
• Knowledge of PLC and automation for troubleshooting would be advantageous
• Strong analytical ability, Problem solving & Good interpersonal skills
