The Programmes Division designs and implements programmes that bring people together to share ideas, skills and resources to enrich lives and effect positive change. With an aim to catalyse strategic multi-stakeholder collaboration for sustainable social impact, we initiate convenings and develop platforms that foster partnerships, drive innovation and mobilise resources for collective action.
We are seeking a creative, highly motivated and resourceful Manager/Senior Manager to join our youth development and engagement team. In this role, you will develop and implement new programmes that will empower and equip youths to become changemakers and leaders. Your responsibilities will include curating impactful youth-led or youth-centric projects, fostering bilateral or multi-stakeholder partnerships, and organising events to promote youth leadership development and cultural understanding. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to international relations and friendship building among youths in Singapore and the region.
Responsibilities:
- Support the conceptualisation, development, implementation and review of youth development programmes, including identifying and managing funders and partners, as well as preparing concept notes, plans, presentation decks, reports and speeches.
- Lead the recruitment of participants and volunteers for youth development programmes, including engaging youth advocates and organisations, managing the application and selection process, as well as conducting briefings, orientations and rehearsals.
- Deliver meaningful content for youth development programmes, including conducting research, identifying facilitators, moderators, partners and speakers, preparing programme materials, as well as organising related activities and events.
- Facilitate communications and engagement with various partners and stakeholders in the philanthropic, public and private sectors, including preparing administrative briefs, fact sheets, FAQ and meeting materials to ensure the success of youth development programmes.
- Manage service providers, suppliers and vendors (e.g., caterers, printers, training providers, transport/travel companies), as well as track budget, milestones and outcomes (including managing feedback and implementing surveys), to ensure the quality and timely delivery of youth development programmes.
- Collaborate with the Communications & Engagement team in the branding, marketing and promotion of youth programmes, including the creation of collaterals, social media posts and videos.
Requirements:
- University degree holder in any discipline.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in managing youth development programmes for institutes of higher learning (IHLs), or non-profit or training & development organisations.
- Good understanding of the dynamics and challenges in higher learning, first jobber and youth spaces.
- Competent in event, project and resource management, with the ability to handle concurrent work assignments and deliver quality work within tight timelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Adaptable, proactive and resourceful self-starter, with the ability to handle concurrent work assignments and deliver quality work within budget and on time.
- Detail-oriented, organised, quick-thinking and solutions-minded team player, with the ability to work collaboratively, as well as navigate ambiguity and diverse cultural contexts.
- Strong interest in non-profit and social impact sectors.
- Proficiency in other Southeast Asian languages an added advantage.
- Singaporean.
