Investment Analyst (Private Equity)

About the company

I am working with a fast-growing PE firm (tech-focused) who are looking to expand. We are looking for an Investment Analyst to be based either in Singapore or Australia to support senior management in end-to-end investment work for tech deals in developed markets such as US, UK, Korea, Japan and Australia.

Key responsibilities

Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential investment opportunities in developed markets (US/UK/Korea/Japan/Australia)
• Analyze industry trends, economic indicators, and competitive landscapes.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on potential investments.

Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:

• Support Senior Management in identifying and sourcing potential investment opportunities through networking, industry events, and market analysis.
• Conduct initial screening and assessment of investment opportunities.
• Perform detailed financial analysis, including modelling, valuation, and scenario analysis.

Due Diligence:

• Lead and coordinate comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and legal aspects.
• Engage with third-party advisors (legal, accounting, industry experts) to ensure thorough due diligence.
• Prepare detailed due diligence reports and present findings to the investment committee.

Transaction Execution:

• Assist in structuring and negotiating investment terms and agreements.
• Support the preparation of investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
• Manage transaction processes, including documentation and closing procedures.

Portfolio Management:

• Monitor the performance of portfolio companies and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Assist in developing and implementing value creation strategies for portfolio companies.
• Prepare regular portfolio reviews and reports for senior management and investors.

Requirements

• At least 2-4 years of experience coming from a leading investment bank or private equity firm with a focus on developed market investments - *MUST HAVE
• International exposure (either by having studied or worked abroad)
• Strong financial modelling skills along with excellent communication ability
• A bachelor's degree in any discipline
