YOUR ROLE

Role

You will take the role of senior data scientist in ST's manufacturing data science organization, situated in our backend plant in Malaysia, Muar, where you will:

1. Work as a subject matter expert on artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics.
2. Lead discussions across geographies with manufacturing domain experts to formulate AI/ML solutions that contribute to efficiency, cost or quality.
3. Deliver meaningful insights and predict trends by collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
4. Work on improvement activities to drive operational excellence through data analytics.
5. Manage project life cycle, from ideation, model building, qualification and deployment to production.
6. Be the owner for one of the department's operational platforms and responsible for the resulting key performance indicator.
7. Represent MDS for all data science and analytics topics.
8. Ensure projects are deployed efficiently, consistently and at the right cost.
9. Create and review technical design documents and contribute to company's intellectual property.
10. Liaise with external stakeholders such as vendors and universities to achieve department's strategic goals.

Your Skills & Experiences

1. Bachelor's or master's degree in data science or equivalent.
2. Experience in implementing AI & Machine learning solutions in a production environment.
3. Proficient in Python and SQL.
4. Familiar with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and TIBCO Spotfire.
5. Prior experience in semiconductor assembly processes will be an advantage.
6. English business proficiency.
