Senior Consultant, Regional Operations Planning (ROP) – Banking Industry

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the project planning and development of a detailed project schedule, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
2. Regularly assess risks to mitigate potential issues throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Ensure optimal allocation of tasks and clear responsibilities for all stakeholders.
4. Liaise with various stakeholders, including business units, compliance officers, and offshore center teams, ensuring seamless communication across departments.
5. Provide regular project updates to senior leadership, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and risks.
6. Facilitate meetings, ensuring alignment and addressing any roadblocks that arise during the project.
7. Analyze the current business processes being transferred to the offshore center, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
8. Work closely with business process owners to ensure processes are re-engineered effectively and can be executed efficiently at the offshore location.
9. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure the offshore migration adheres to local and international standards.
10. Oversee the change management process, ensuring stakeholders are prepared for the transition and that any resistance is addressed effectively.
11. Provide training and support to teams involved in the migration to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
12. Monitor the progress of the project to ensure adherence to schedule.
13. Prepare and deliver project reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective tracking of milestones and deliverables.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in any related field.
2. At least 2-3 years of leadership experience in managing projects, particularly those involving offshore outsourcing or business process migration.
3. Strong background in banking operations, specifically back-office functions and transaction processing.
4. Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams, including international and offshore teams.
5. Familiarity with offshore outsourcing models and managing complex migration projects.
6. Extensive experience in project planning, execution, and risk management, particularly in large-scale business process migrations.
7. Strong skills in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Good communication skills in English are required. Japanese language skills are a plus (in order to liaise with Japanese speaking stakeholders and clients).
9. Leadership and team management abilities to motivate teams, manage change, and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
10. Proficiency in communication, both written and verbal, to engage with diverse stakeholders across cultures and time zones.
11. Ability to deliver clear updates to senior management, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
12. Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and shifting business needs, especially when managing cross-cultural teams and evolving regulatory requirements.
