Graduate Project Engineer

ALATAS Crane Services Worldwide (www.alatas.com) is a worldwide operating crane service specialist and offers crane-related services and parts supply in the Ship-, Offshore-, Port- and Construction industry.

Alatas Singapore Pte Ltd carries out field service and repairs on marine machinery such as Ship- & Offshore Cranes, Davits, Windlasses, Mooring Winches, and Steering gears on Marine & Offshore Vessels as well as in Ports. We conduct inspections, overload testing, and project repairs in Ports, at Anchorage, in Ship Yards, and on-voyage repairs.

To assist our Project Team in managing and coordinating projects in Ports, Ship Yards, and Offshore, we are employing a capable, self-initiated, and motivated individual:

Graduate Project Engineer

Job Description:

1. The primary responsibility is to manage customer relationships and coordinate project work, field service administration, and overload testing.
2. Liaise with our customers, such as Ship Managers, Offshore Operators, Shipyards, Agents, and others.
3. Coordinate with Customers, Ship Agents, Ports & Ship Yards to handle permits and schedule attendances.
4. Coordinate and arrange transport of Engineers, tools & equipment to and from job sites.
5. Prepare quotations, costing for invoices, tools & equipment lists, and procurement of parts.
6. Manage tools & equipment and send for recertification periodically as required.
7. Create customer reports.

Job Requirements:

1. Fresh Graduate or Diploma in Marine Engineering or similar.
2. Experience coordinating Marine & Offshore service work will be an advantage.
3. Technically inclined and highly organized, able to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
4. Effective in dealing with commercial and management aspects of the role.
5. Excellent communication skills, both internally with our field service teams and externally to our customers.
6. Able to commit even after office hours due to the nature of the job.
