Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform front end engineering design (FEED) and basic design for Civil & Structural Engineering for utility power and water, petrochemical industries and utility scale renewable projects.Experience in subsea piping, Ammonia piping, CO2 Piping and hydrogen piping would be beneficial.
- Develop and design structural systems for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.
- Conduct structural analysis to determine the strength and stability of structures under various loads (e.g., wind, seismic, dead loads).
- Create detailed drawings and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro)
- Prepare site layouts and grading plans considering topography, drainage, and environmental impact.
- Design foundation systems, retaining walls, and other structural elements to support civil infrastructure.
- Collaborate with geotechnical engineers to assess soil conditions and determine appropriate foundation types.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage civil and structural engineering projects from concept through completion.
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical review during the construction phase, ensuring that all work is performed according to design specifications.
- Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and design requirements.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during construction, offering engineering solutions as needed.
- Review and approve contractor submittals, including shop drawings, material samples and ensure compliance with Engineering Standards, company & industry best practices.
- Perform assessments of existing structures to determine their condition and safety.
- Design retrofits and reinforcements for aging or damaged structures.
- Evaluate potential risks, such as seismic activity, weather conditions, or load changes, and implement appropriate design measure
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including calculations, reports, and records of decisions made.
- Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, piping, C&I) to ensure integration and compatibility of systems.
- Preparation of technical proposal to customer, project / EPC scoping strategy, vendor selection (bid review, technical clarification and bid evaluation), and all other support related to technical etc.
- Generate material take-offs (MTO) and bill of materials (BOM).
- Review stress analysis report to ensure structural integrity under various operating conditions.
- Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and construction teams
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation
- Liaise with QP for special studies and other regulatory requirements.
- Establish system and documentation for company engineering standards & specification, ITP, approved vendor/manufacturer list, material specifications, discipline’s schedule of rates and cost estimate template, engineering checklists etc.
- Ensure all designs and documentation are up to date and in line with current industry standards and best practices.
- Incorporate sustainable design principles into projects to minimize environmental impact.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies, materials, and methods in civil and structural engineering.
- Explore innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and durability of structures.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8-15 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on design and construction.
- Experience in power and water utilities as well as renewable energy projects is preferred.
- Experience in other renewable energy projects, especially Hydrogen, Wind, CCU is preferred.
- Have a passion and experience in areas related to energy transition and infrastructure.
- Good understanding of the relevant local and international codes and standards.

- Proficiency in CAD software.
