This is a unique opportunity to help shape the workplace experience for Amazonians around the world. The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon's corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon.
Within GREF, the Customer Insights team represents the voice of the Amazonian throughout the workplace journey. We surface insights that help GREF deliver a workplace experience that enables Amazonians to do their best work while at the office.
We are seeking an experienced mixed method researcher to join our growing Customer Insights team. As the Regional Researcher based in Singapore, you will be responsible for driving and implementing both qualitative and quantitative research with global partners in APAC - owning the process end to end, from data collection to analysis and reporting. You will interact daily with team members to identify needs and deliver research that leads to actionable outcomes. You will be required to work with minimal direction and be capable of working quickly while delivering high-quality outputs. You will work on overlapping projects, which require the ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities.
The right candidate will have an understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, hands-on research experience, and demonstrate best practices while also being flexible, creative, and pragmatic. The candidate must be able to balance frugality with creativity in offering solutions, and approach problem-solving with an emphasis on root cause.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Cultivate relationships with key APAC partners to identify learning opportunities that support regional initiatives, and ladder into top Organization priorities.
  2. Design and execute both generative and evaluative research studies within APAC, leading vendor management of outsourced studies, when necessary.

About the team
This role will be a key lead within the newly formed Global Transformation & Insights org. Key functions within this team include Customer Insights, Business Insights, Creative + UX Design, and Communications. We are a group of builders, creators, innovators and go-getters. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 3+ years of applied research, both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
  2. 2+ years qualitative moderation and/or ethnographic research experience.
  3. 2+ years quantitative survey design, development, programming and analysis.
  4. Fluent in English.
  5. Experience managing research translation vendors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate research to executive leaders and audiences that do not have a technical background.
  2. Proven ability to work autonomously and in an interdependent team.
  3. Detail-oriented, with an ability to move fast and adapt to change.
  4. Direct experience with survey development, survey programming, translation, and data analysis.
  5. Fluent in Qualtrics.
  6. Experience with advanced analytics tools e.g., SPSS.
  7. Direct experience leading ethnographic observation studies.
  8. Ability to lead at least 4-hours of qualitative research a day.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills.
  10. Experience working in an agile fast-paced environment.
