Stamping Process Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to stamping processes to ensure productivity, quality, and cost objectives are met.
2. Contribute to the review and design of stamping tools for new product developments.
3. Collaborate with the Production Team to meet performance goals and targets.
4. Define process capabilities, optimal parameter settings, mill costs, Bills of Materials (BOM), and work instructions for dies and related processes.
5. Identify and suggest cost-saving strategies or improvements to ensure competitive pricing and quality, meeting both current and future stamping needs.
6. Offer technical support and training to Toolmakers and Production Technicians to enhance operational efficiency.
7. Lead and mentor a team of Toolmakers and Production Technicians.
8. Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote safe working practices.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or NTC II in Tool and Die Making or equivalents.
2. Diploma holders must have at least 5 years of experience in a high-speed stamping environment.
3. Nitec and NTC II holders must have at least 15 years of experience in die maintenance and stamping.
4. A proactive attitude with a willingness to contribute innovative ideas is highly valued.
5. Strong analytical abilities and excellent time management skills.
6. Ability to read and interpret die and part drawings.
7. In-depth knowledge of metal forming, die making, and die maintenance.
8. Capability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage work in an organized manner.
9. Skilled in problem analysis and finding solutions efficiently.
10. Experience in mass production of precision parts is a plus.
11. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a pleasant, team-oriented demeanor.
