Staff Nurse (Inpatient/ OT/ Ward)

• Join a team of well-trained professional staff to administer personalized and quality patient care in the OT department.
• Perform duties as a PACU Nurse.
• Fetch patients to and from the ward to the OT before and after surgery.
• Check and identify the correct patient for the correct surgery, taking special note of consent, site of operation, allergies, last meal, dentures, premedication, past medical history, and blood group and X-match.
• Take care of post-operative patients in the recovery room.
• Ensure a safe and efficient delivery of post-operative care, monitor and escalate abnormal physiological parameters regardless of types of anesthesia.
• Ensure and maintain accurate OT billings of drugs and consumable items used by individual patients.
• Take responsibility for the decontamination of all equipment and accessories following each contaminated case and ensure thorough cleaning of the PACU at the end of the list.
• Assist in weekend cleaning and ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the PACU, OT Reception, utility rooms, and other areas.
• Order and check all drugs, surgical, and anesthetic supplies weekly and also following an emergency. Sterile goods from CSSD are put away in the respective cupboard.
• Update and maintain quality records within the statutory required retention period through proper identification, filing, storage maintenance, and disposition of these records.
• Complete ad-hoc tasks and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Valid Practicing Certificate with SNB.
• Able to commit to at least three (3) rotating shifts on a roster.
