Business Development and Fulfillment Manager, APAC - CONTRACT REMOTE POSITION

CONTRACT ROLE SUMMARY

The Business Development and Fulfillment Manager of APAC will provide leadership in strategic planning to secure corporate sponsorships and media partnerships within the APAC Region, enhancing GBTA’s relationship with corporate sponsors and corporate members. The position plays a role in managing some of the most important relationships in GBTA APAC in partnership with Global Sales and Regional Leadership.

SCOPE OF WORK - RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategically develop and maintain high-level client relationships while managing existing corporate partnerships.
  2. Expand new corporate partnerships and sponsorship revenue through global and APAC regional events, and media sales – focus on maximizing revenue from deployed accounts, prospect for new suppliers within the industry and other verticals.
  3. Create persuasive proposals with appropriate benefits packages for new and renewed sponsorships/digital and print media programs.
  4. Work with senior management and department members to identify and frame opportunities within GBTA’s priority initiatives.
  5. Work with all staff members and trustees of the organization executing all aspects of the organization’s sponsorship and media plans.
  6. Cultivate and solicit a portfolio of significant revenue-generating global partnerships.
  7. On-going sponsor account management and new sponsor solicitation throughout the year.
  8. Effectively manage assigned accounts and sales funnel through Salesforce or other appointment sales automation tools. All sales activity will be up to date and managed through Salesforce.
  9. Development of sponsor strategy and marketing plan; including proposals, presentations, and cover letters.
  10. Work with other departments to represent the interests of sponsors- education, marketing, and meetings teams.
  11. Manage and track fulfillment of all in-person, print, media promotion, and digital sponsorship benefits, as well as coordinate internally on event logistics.
  12. Monitor and proof all print and digital recognition of sponsor/client branding.
  13. Gather proof of benefit deliverables and ROI throughout the year to create end-of-year client reports.
  14. Maintain partner database with current contact information in Salesforce.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

CONTRACT DETAILS

  1. Remote. Active Passport required.
  2. Ideally located in Singapore.

SCOPE OF WORK - REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Minimum 3 years in sales experience and relationship management.
  3. High energy and enthusiasm for teamwork across departments, deep commitment to success.
  4. Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  5. Superior organization skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects in a super-fast-paced environment.
  6. Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  7. High level of personal motivation and creativity.
  8. Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRMs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  1. Ability to manage relationships with integrity and transparency.
  2. Strong knowledge of business etiquette, how to craft sales presentations, and other promotional materials.
  3. Experience working in a membership-based organization.
  4. Association and/or travel industry knowledge preferred.
  5. Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to contribute.
  6. Multi-lingual preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  1. Remote work environment.
  2. Prolonged periods sitting/remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer.
  3. Must be able to remain stationary and move for long periods of time, during events.
  4. Must be able to work a variety of hours in order to accommodate various meetings and events.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

  1. Up to 15% of travel to events and meetings; based on organizational needs.
  2. Travel to Annual Convention, GBTA related events, and meetings, as needed.
