About Our Client

Our client has a strong presence in the offshore industry, providing offshore fleet management services to various clients in the Oil & Gas industry. They are currently expanding their operations and are seeking a motivated Operations Manager with previous experience as a Ship Captain to lead their offshore team in Pointe-Noire, Congo.

Job Description

Reporting to the Technical Fleet Director, you are responsible for the following duties:

• Overseeing all offshore operations in Congo, including new fleet constructions.
• Managing a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff.
• Overseeing all aspects of offshore operations, including equipment maintenance, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Managing offshore projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Developing and managing budgets for offshore operations, optimizing resource allocation and cost control.
• Fostering positive relationships with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant offshore regulations, permits, and licenses.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains in offshore operations.

The Successful Applicant

You bring 10 years of experience as an Operations Manager in offshore operations, with a minimum of 2 years as a Ship Captain (OSV or FCB) being mandatory. You possess technical expertise in Naval Engineering & Fleet management, excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as project management experience, including budgeting and resource allocation. Fluency in English and French is mandatory, and you must be willing to reside in Pointe-Noire, Congo. You should also be able to work in a challenging offshore environment and adapt to changing conditions.
