Assistant Finance Manager (Luxury Retail)

Description

• Prepare statutory reports with consolidation, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance across entities
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc management reports with variance analysis
• Ensure timely and accurate intercompany reconciliations
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and accounting regulations
• Coordinate audits and follow up on recommendations
• Prepare/review GST, WHT returns, and corporate tax schedules; liaise with tax consultants
• Monitor cash flow and prepare projections for multiple entities and subsidiaries
• Review work of Assistant Accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with teams to align finance processes with operations
• Assist in improving financial systems and setting up process guidelines
• Maintain accounting system, including updates, year-end rollover, and SOP finalization
• Prepare government statistical reports
• Perform other finance tasks as assigned by Head of Finance

Profile

A successful Assistant Finance Manager should have:

• Holds a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or Assistant Finance Manager, ideally with exposure to the Southeast Asia region or involvement in process improvement initiatives.
• Background in Retail, Hospitality, FMCG, or E-commerce is preferred; alternatively, demonstrates agility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
