We are looking for you, Operations Event Coordinator to our Operations Event Team in our Refinery in Tuas.

You will focus on planning & preparing our Refinery for a Safe Turnaround. In this job you will work closely not only with the different stakeholders within Neste but also together with our external partners. You must be a highly self-motivated individual, able to embrace changes, possess a strong ability to work independently, and live the values of Neste.

Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future

Responsible for planning, preparing, and executing events related to Operations including operations resource planning for designated unit(s). Events are defined as:

Turn-arounds (TA)
Unit shut-downs (SD)
(Pre)Commissioning and initial start-up of capital investment projects

Back-up Event team member in Turn-arounds and Unit Shut-downs

Responsible for monitoring TA/SD execution and instructing shift teams accordingly and reporting progress

Liaison of Operations to 3rd parties/suppliers related to operations support for preparing and executing Turn-arounds and Shut-downs assigned by Operations Event Lead

Responsible (within Operations) for optimizing the Shut-down, Start-up, and Clearing work instructions for designated area

Responsible for correcting, reviewing, and improving assigned Operations NMS Work Procedures

Responsible for review of Shift Team Operations Shut Down Instruction to ensure all the scope is covered in the instructions

Responsible for communicating and training shift teams related to events

Work closely with all Internal & External stakeholders.

Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

Diploma in Chemical Engineering or similar
Minimum Polytechnic Diploma with 3 years of supervisory experience OR Higher NITEC with 5 years of supervisory experience OR GCE ‘O’ level with 8 years of supervisory experience in a Petrochemical/Refinery Environment
