Music Operations Research Analyst

Our client is a leading MultiTech Social Media company. They are seeking a Music Content Operations Research Analyst to support global operations functions for music publishers and collection societies.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage day to day ongoing operations with company's music publishing and label partners.
2. Develop workflows for monitoring publishing data, music content and provide scalable solutions for issue identification and resolution.
3. Build visual reports to track publisher metrics and trends.
4. Communication with partners regarding onboarding specifications and data delivery, including general documentation.
5. Partner closely with cross-functional teams – including commercial partnerships, legal, product, and engineering - in an effort to scale operations support workflows across teams.
6. Develop a deep expertise in company’s music rights management products and how they are being used across constituent groups.
7. Partner advocate for contractual rights based decisions and actions.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years experience in music account management, operations, product management, online operations, consulting, or data analytics.
2. Music or media industry research background, preferably with record label, music publisher, complex DSP or UGC platform experience.
3. Manage some day to day data ownership operations with company's publishing and label partners.
4. Develop an understanding of company’s music rights management products with an eye on operational, system and process improvement.
5. Understand sensitivities around IP policy, processes, and products.
6. Advanced querying, data fluency, read/write specs, troubleshoot data issues, scripting, etc.; proficient in both SQL and Excel.
7. Knowledge of copyright and music licensing.
8. Knowledge of digital rights management products, especially for music.
9. Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
