About the Job

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support our Singapore Finance operations, focusing on accounting, closing, and bank administration. This role will report directly to the Finance Manager based in Singapore and work closely with various internal and external stakeholders.

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for:

Month-end Closing & Financial Reporting:

  • Assist with month-end closing activities for SingSaver entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Support revenue and direct cost booking and reconciliations.
  • Assist in the calculation of accruals related to revenue and direct costs.
  • Help prepare financial reports and support the finance team in analyzing financial data.

Bank Administration & Treasury Support:

  • Assist in setting up and processing bank payments for SingSaver transactions.
  • Coordinate with banks for account-related matters, including documentation and approvals.
  • Support cash flow tracking and credit control processes to ensure timely collections and payments.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Work with the Fulfillment Team to gather reports and facilitate payments.
  • Liaise with local tax authorities (IRAS) to support tax compliance and reporting.
  • Collaborate with banks and other various financial institutions for account-related queries and documentation.
  • Assist in handling and coordinating mailing matters across the region, ensuring proper documentation and timely dispatch.

Audit & Compliance Support:

  • Assist in preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries on and offsite.
  • Support statutory filings and tax compliance under the guidance of the senior finance team.

Process Improvement:

  • Contribute to streamlining financial and administrative processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in the implementation of system enhancements and financial reporting tools.

In this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment, audit experience will be a plus.
  • Familiarity with month-end closing processes, reconciliations, and bank administration.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Excel, Google Sheets) is a plus.

Good to have:

  • Prior experience liaising with tax authorities and banks.
  • Exposure to audit, financial technology firms, or high-growth environments.
  • Familiarity with treasury and cash management processes.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
