Investment Associate, Venture Capital

A well-funded venture capital firm is looking for a highly driven and engaging Investment Principal to join their team. They invest in high-growth startups across technology, advanced manufacturing (semiconductors), and AI, with a focus on Asia.

In this role, you will play a key part in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments, while also building strong relationships with founders and industry leaders. You’ll need to be a hustler, strategic thinker, and a natural dealmaker—someone who can engage top entrepreneurs and win competitive deals.

What You’ll Do

• Deal Sourcing & Origination – Identify and evaluate high-potential investment opportunities, building strong relationships with founders and the venture ecosystem.
• Investment Execution – Support end-to-end deal processes, including financial analysis, due diligence, deal structuring, and transaction execution.
• Value Creation & Portfolio Support – Work closely with portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance, market expansion support, and introductions to key partners.
• Fundraising & Investor Relations – Assist in fund-level capital raising efforts, preparing investor reports and engaging with Limited Partners (LPs).
• Market Research & Thematic Investing – Develop insights into emerging trends in technology, semiconductors, and AI, driving investment strategy.

What We’re Looking For

• 2-4 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting.
• Good understanding of technology, advanced manufacturing (semiconductors), and AI sectors.
• Strong network within SEA and China’s startup ecosystem—Mandarin proficiency or China market exposure is a plus.
• A natural dealmaker—charismatic, engaging, and exceptional at building trust with founders.
• Strong financial analysis and due diligence capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment with a lean team.
