Job description

We are seeking a F&B Operations Specialist to oversee pre-opening preparations, renovation supervision, and procurement processes for our restaurant outlets. This role also involves managing operational data, preparing SOPs for product launches, maintaining POS system backend operations, and providing on-site support at outlets when needed. The ideal candidate should have strong Excel skills, experience in cost analysis, and a deep understanding of restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Pre-Opening & Setup:
    Conduct site visits to evaluate potential locations and assist in lease negotiations.
    Coordinate and supervise renovation progress, ensuring compliance with brand standards and timelines.
    Handle pre-opening procurement, including kitchen equipment, tableware, and other operational needs.
    Work with contractors, designers, and vendors to ensure smooth store setup and launch.
  2. Operational Management:
    Use Excel extensively to calculate staff working hours, payroll data, and labor costs.
    Monitor and control cost ratios, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.
    Prepare and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for product launches, service standards, and kitchen operations.
    Oversee POS system backend management, including menu updates, pricing adjustments, and sales reporting analysis.
    Provide on-site support at restaurant outlets when necessary, assisting with operations, workflow optimization, and problem-solving.
  3. Procurement & Inventory Control:
    Coordinate with suppliers for ordering and delivery of raw materials, kitchen equipment, and restaurant essentials.
    Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking to prevent shortages.
    Negotiate pricing with vendors to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
  4. On-Site Outlet Support:
    Assist outlet teams during peak hours, helping with operations when needed.
    Work closely with store managers and staff to identify and resolve operational challenges.
    Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations across all outlets.

Requirements

  1. Experience: 2+ years in F&B operations, preferably with experience in store openings, procurement, and cost management.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis). Experience with POS systems is a plus.
  3. Project Management: Ability to oversee multiple projects, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely execution.
  4. Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical skills for cost calculations, labor tracking, and operational efficiency.
  5. Communication Skills: Effective in coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.
  6. Adaptability: Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage changing priorities, and provide hands-on support at outlets when necessary.
