Regional Security Coordinator - APAC
The Regional Security Coordinator is responsible for managing the day to day office’s Safety and Security in addition to supporting the Regional Security Manager & Global Security Leadership. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between internal and external departments within the organisation. Other work may include but is not limited to, special projects, assignments, companywide initiatives related to Security Operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal skills and is able to work collaboratively, is detail oriented, process driven and keeps up with the fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Computer Literate and able to operate basic S2 Security System and CCTV System
- Able to speak, write and communicate effectively in English
- Must be First Aid Trained and Certified (including CPR and AED)
- Working closely with WEX, Ground Control, IT, Facilities team on day to day security operations and functions at the office
- Create and cultivate Security awareness in the office environment
- Working closely with the landlord and local authorities for emergency evacuation drills, emergency response initiatives.
- Investigate and reporting of all safety and security incidents
- Conduct monthly physical security audits – on doors, security systems, CCTV systems to ensure functionality and report any issues for prompt repair and following up. Monthly audit must be done at least on a monthly basis, frequency may increase based on needs and/or instruction given by supervisor.
- Manage day to day security operation command center operations – including active monitoring of all CCTV systems, Badge Access System and alarm system
- Report any safety and security incidents, emergencies to Regional Security and GSOC
- Managing all access control badges, including accurate inventory. Including Producing and Programming all badges, including taking badge pictures of all employees/contractors
- Managing and implementation of the visitor management system (ProxyClick) in Singapore
- Responding to security alarms or technical security issues in the Singapore office and other offices in APAC (i.e. door held alarm, faulty door contact, etc.)
- Working with the security integrators for regular service and repair of security systems. Up keeping of security systems to ensure functionality
- Responding to medical and fire emergencies in the office
- To provide security support for company’s events as required, on or off office hours.
- There will be no overtime payout. Any additional working hours due to ad-hoc requirements will be substituted with hours or off in lieu.
- Security (APAC) budget and expenses tracking.
- Develops metrics to track the team’s progress and efficiency and prepare monthly reports.
- Develops relationships with key business partners, internal and external.
- Ability to set priorities, multitask simultaneous projects and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work diligently and independently.
- Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.
- Provide security related training to employees in the region.
- Provide additional operational support and guidance to the regional security function as required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience managing safety and security operations, ideally in technology or creative office environments
- Experience developing security/safety programs and incident response plans
- Knowledge of and comfortability with global technical security monitoring systems
- Experience reviewing architectural plans and planning physical security design
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Language proficiency in English and (1) other Asian language
- Depth of experience & cultural understanding within APAC countries. In particular, experience across SE Asia, Australia, S. Korea and Japan
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (years of experience may be substituted for education)
- Desire to “wow” your customers with each interaction
- Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively cross-functionally
