Sales Engineer – Winches & Lifting Equipment

Main Purpose of Role:

• Lead and revenue generation across market segments and industries to achieve Plan and grow market share.

Main Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ideal candidate is an extrovert, articulate relationship seller with relevant experience in an industrial setting and their own network within some of our primary target markets.
• Relationship management from initial contact to post-project follow-ups.
• Regional travel and business social activity expectations.
• Assist management with market intel and revenue forecasting.
• Interact with target market participants, develop network and gather information.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with customer teams and groups.
• Develop, present, and negotiate awards in consultation with management team.
• Work with customers and colleagues to deliver outcomes in accordance with contracts and negotiate variations as they arise.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports on current and forecast activities.
• Participate in management team sessions and facilitate implementation of adopted decisions within your scope.
• Follow up on client timesheets during the hire period.
• Facilitate debtor payments in accordance with contracts and agreed terms.
• Monitor delivery and liaise with clients to ensure obligations are met.

Knowledge:

• Mechanical / Marine / Offshore / Civil Engineering background.
• Familiar with winch and hydraulic equipment.

Skills & Competencies:

• Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational skills, attentive to detail with the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines in a multitasking environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a highly collaborative work environment.

Qualifications and Certification:

• Tertiary qualification.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
