Building & Facilities Technician

Summary

Maintenance Technician I/II is responsible for the servicing, inspection, repair, and maintenance of equipment, plant, and facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate servicing, inspection, repair, and maintenance of equipment, plant, and facilities to ensure minimum downtime.
• Plan and organize Weekly and Daily Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program.
• Responsible for the performance and discipline of the technicians on shift duty.
• Coordinate minor and major repairs, replacement & overhaul of equipment, plant, and facilities at component & system level, to ensure minimum disruption to operations.
• Ensure quick response to trouble-shoot, rectify, and re-activate equipment, plant, and facilities. If unable, organize recovery to workshop to repair, rectify and make good, and put back into operation with minimum delays and downtime.
• Verify the accuracy of computer daily job sheets and timekeeping.
• Monitor and review work methods, conditions, and housekeeping to ensure a safe working environment.
• Verify and ensure workshop equipment is maintained in good working condition.
• Verify parts for replacement are beyond economic repair (BER) and cannot be reconditioned.
• Any other duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedures.
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head.

Requirements

• Minimum Vocational/ITE certificate or equivalent in Building Maintenance (not a must).
• Experience in servicing, inspection, repair, and maintenance of equipment, plant, and facilities will be an added advantage.
• Must possess a minimum LTA class 3 driving license.
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
